Nevertheless, the story of the love between Carter and Cash is probably one of the most beautiful I've ever heard.

she is not his wife at this time, they only did the proposal on feb. 22 1968 in London Ontario Canada, I lived on the same street in London Ontario as his manager, Saul Holiff, I remember the night Johnny proposed really well. and it was on the date I mentioned. so in 67 they were still married to other spouses.
