and it was thanks to catching a repeat of this episode I suddenly discovered the creepy indie song (that eventually turned out to be an cover by The The) that I heard briefly and vaguely remembered the chorus lyrics, was a much older country gospel song, & was able to remember it, track it down & trace it's roots back to Hank Williams.
