Charted at #17 on UK Singles chart in February 1956. Original Billboard review: "Ray wraps up the great oldie with a breezy show-wise vocal and a jumping beat, somewhat reminiscent of his big click platter, "Walkin' My Baby Back Home" This one could catch on big". Billboard rating: 76 out of 100.

Released as a single in the US in December 1955 but it did not chart there.

"Who's Sorry Now" has been a hit for many artists. Other chart positions over the years: #3 for Isham Jones and his Orchestra in August 1923 (which I've posted), #5 for Marion Harris in September 1923, #8 for the Original Memphis Five in July 1923, #11 for Irving Kaufman in July 1923, #11 for Lewis James in October 1923, #18 for Harry James in June 1946 (the revival sparked by its inclusion in the Marx Brothers film "A Night in Casablanca"), #4 for Connie Francis on the Hot 100 in February 1958 (#1 UK Singles chart, #4 Billboard R&B) and #40 for Marie Osmond in March 1975 on the Hot 100 (#21 Billboard Adult Contemporary, #29 Billboard Country).

Written by Ted Snyder, Bert Kalmar and Harry Ruby.

The other side of this single is "A Heart Comes in Handy".

They say Ray was deaf, gay, and a drunk. But who sang much better? He was a gentle son of a tiny town in Oregon state in USA. I guess I still adore him. Got to see him play in a small piano bar ca. 1980. A miracle. I completed him, with audience help... To play Cry twice :)
