@tommydatubes i agree 100% with you. Of course you need sort a feeling for music, but practicing is the most important thing. People, don't think John grabbed a random guitar and became a legend. Far from that, he played 8 years alone in a room. He had, and still has, a passion and dedication for music few people can say they have.

Beautiful song and one of the best performances of this concert. This was the first time I saw/heard John Mayer and revealed him to be a fabulous guitarist, certainly one of the best around now. I agree with previous comments that his personal life/personality will be his downfall. Still, he has played with all the greats of now and yesterday like BB King, Clapton, Alicia Keys, Stevie Wonder, Sheryl Crow, John Frusciante etc etc so he must be doing something right. In short, he is a genius play

i love how his playing and voice are consistent and genuine through all of his live performances; his live performances are even more amazing than his recorded songs. his skills never cease to amaze his audience . LOVE 'IM!!

@tommydatubes yeah, i hear you. i read in an interview that he practiced guitar and loved it so much, he slept with his guitar in his bed because he thought it would make him play better.

I don't think John/his performances/his style/his band will ever be as good as they were during this period and with this band. He was sheer CLASS during this time. Sheer utter class. He's kinda imploded and fallen off the wagon a bit lately. Will always love him for what he was doing at this time.

@ichowells I agree. Having influences is what makes them great. Someone inspired them to get to where they are, and if those people are still considered influences, that proves humility. JM isn't actually a douche, he just comes off that way because he can and deserves it, seeing as tho he is head and shoulders above most.

GB john mayer's ability to express his soul and give more than insirational hope to others...most life changing video i have ever seen. his solo is a direct feed from his emotions, no interference. i cry over this video. best performance ever.
