Sure the event was staged, but that doesn't take away from the authenticity of the worship going on in the room. In fact, this video is an awesome example of what happens at the intersection of art and worship. It doesn't threaten either, but enhances both. The videographers wanted to make a great video, so they planned shots, set up the room, and asked people to come sing. The criteria for true worship is not spontaneity. More often, worship takes intentionality and careful planning. Furthermore, worship is enhanced when people like John Mark and the videographers purposely use their gifts for God's glory, which is what's going on here. There's very little to criticize. Right on video team and JMM. So nice to see rich Christian art.

I don't usually comment on videos, but this song articulated something that has been sitting on my heart for a long time, and has been a real revelation to me. In Christ, all of life and living is defined and put into it's proper context. In other words, my past is put into context in him (Ephesians 4:18), as well my present (2 Corinthians 3:18), and my future (1 John 3:2). To say you don't need Christ is to say your life doesn't have or need meaning, but it truly does. And not only meaning, but value and importance.
