I think this sounds really great. John was always afraid of his own voice and wanted to add effects. This is so much better and cleaner.

Love this. The biggest blight on John's solo records was the production. Far too much echo on everything. Even the drums!! Who puts echo on drums?!

I never like the double tracked echo voice that we where given as a product. Its great to actually hear one John Lennon sing. Thanks for these posts.

Watching the Wheels sounds amazing this way, different song, better than studio. My jaw is literally on the floor, piano part is outstanding! Bravo!

John may have loved that woman but she was a most disrepectful wench to his real family. unforgivable...its a miracle she gave the other beatles anything to work with at all Ie: Real Love.....and Free as a Bird...obviously she sold off his guitars according to his son who has to go buy back his instruments that she sold off like a pimp. I saw her play at the Warfield theatre in 1986. she was nothing without him..ive lost all respect for the Dragon Lady, Madam woo as al capp described her in 1969

One person doesn't like to watch the wheels go round and round

Finally someone who agrees! She taught John what love was and taught him the sucess of his personality. All of us have to thank her. I think Double Fantasy is the most magical album.

The production on John's solo work is utterly hideous. Who puts echo on the drums? This is the first time I have heard it where it sounds as it should. Beautiful.

This man could had a wonderful natural voice and didn't have to rely on a digital synthesizer or voice altering techniques like artists now-a-days.

Often the new artists stick a load of OTT vibrato on their voice and try and pass it off as powerful and emotional

I agree... John Lennon had one of the best voices...very versatile. Alot of "artists" today have no emotion or feeling in their performance.

sounds amazing, but john loved to sing over his own voice so he could loose himself ) PEACE ! John ...

He was listed as the 5th best singer of all time in Rolling Stones magazine. Does that tell you something?
