Lol some of y'all are funny in this comments section. Taking this video so literal like John Legend is condoning cheating. He's an artists and just like actors they portray roles in songs and videos. Ever see your favorite actor in a not so nice roll? A cheater, a killer, a drug dealer? It's the same thing. Not every song an artist comes out with is a direct reflection of who they are as a person. It's all part of the role. Like in music videos the artist may be married but the leading man/lady in the video is not their wife/husband. It's a good song and I like the sample he used. I wish listeners would stop being so damn critical!
