Actually, Gary Numan pretty much has gone into detail about how influential John Foxx's music was for him as a musician. I would still argue that he wrote very distinctive, and worthy music in his own right despite whatever similarities it may bear to John Foxx. I can imagine it would be pretty hard to find any 100% original band, that had never been influenced by any other music ;)

Love John Foxx's moody, atmospheric, and melodic songs, and this is one of his best ... but if I watch this performance too long I'd feel sea-sick from all that guitar swaying ... a bit of variation in your stage work there, please John.
