That's really cool that you have all that stuff. I used to play this song on bass. I could never play it with all the finesse with which he played but I still love this grove.

I was acctually friend of johns and helped him with some song writing on Whistle Rymes and Too late the hero. I own 4 of johns bassed and one f his jackets. I had to win them in auction. It is worth it though

John Entwistle bass-dueled with himself and won. Twice. At the same time.

A comical jab at Disco by the late John Entwhistle, with Joe Walsh on guitar and Joe Vitale on drums.

It was John Entwhistle who went to the Rotosound string factory in the 1960's and had them make strings until they produced a set of strings he liked, which later became the Swing Bass set. The idea was to duplicate the sound of the lower keys of a piano, which inside HAS strings. He struggled for years with studio producers who wanted to turn-up the Bass control just because it was a bass guitar, but he had it his way live. But he will always be credited for bringing clarity to the bass guitar.
