That was one of the greatest things about The Who, that they could improvise and take you on an amazing journey at any point in the show (particularly during stuff like My Generation and Magic Bus), and that it never felt like endless rambling like it does with certain bands. They gave you exactly what you needed, and didn't carry on a jam for the traditional four and a half hours like the Grateful Dead. Dude - I was at that show too...It was one of the best concerts Ive ever been to...remember when Daltrey came out wearing an acoustic guitar ,,,and he asked that all the lights in MSG remain on and he proceeded to sing and play Magic Bus...he had the entire place singing with him...So frikkin cool...11 years ago
