This is an extremely rare song. From what I know, it was only performed once, in Windstar Symposium in 1995 and never got published (so, no infringement of copyrights). We lost him..

My guess, is that the introduction to song is a bit made up, but lets enjoy the song and what John have to say/share..

Note, how at the beginning of the song(at 4.50), the audience which used to his upbeat, funny country songs, expected this to be the same and laughed when he made a pause at one of his the most vulnerable moments..

For some reason because of today's events I felt like this song would help. Miss you John and how your songs helped us think there might be a better way if we could justunderstand what really matters and let go of the junk.

Thanks for posting this wonderful video. John Denver said this was a "song in progress". Well, it's simply beautiful.

I was made aware today that one of the things we appreciate and look for in entertainment or speeches (especially in this age of power point presentations) is spontaineity. This sure is a great example of that! Enjoyed this very much. Thanks for sharing!

I sure wish we still John here to speak and sing! Every time I hear him sing I know his loss is far greater than we realized!

I don't even know why I just cried when I heard this song the first time. I was only 16 then.

Indeed this was a song JD performed at one of his symposiums....done from his heart.

OH! I found this on youtube in 2008 and it was removed. I have been searching for it ever since! This is such a fantastic song and the video is truly capturing John's character. This is one of a kind. Thank you for posting.
