I grew up on John Denver's music. My family was origonally from West Virginia. My mother fell in love with Take Me Home,Country Roads. She died two years after the song came out. I bought his greatest hits so I could play the song for her every night. My eyes were opened wide by the other songs on this album. From that time on I became a huge fan if John Denver. I taught myself to play guitar and write my own music becsuse of him. At the pinnacle of his music I was fortunate to see him in concert three times in three diffrent cities; Pittsburg, Wheeling, and Peoria, Il. What an inciteful tallent. RIP to his Rocky Mountain Highness.

this song is new to me. As all of John Denver's art, its amazing, thoughtful and honest. I miss him. He was my favorite male artist in my teenage years. Of blessed memory, may his message of honoring the earth and each other be heard and may we know the peace he never got the chance to see.
