In April of 1983, group of us spent a week backpacking in the Dolly Sods. I remember what a beautiful area it was. At the bottom of the mountains it felt like the season it was, Spring. At the top we had blizzard like weather. We camped in tents until we found a wood cabin for us hikers. When we finished our week, we helped build a fence on the farm that kept our van while we hiked. I wonder if it's still standing. It was a happy memory that I shared with wonderful people, thanks to Connecticut's Wilderness School and also West Virginia's Dolly Sods.8 years ago
