John Conlee performs "Rose Colored Glasses" at the Farm Aid concert in Louisville, Kentucky on October 1st, 1995. Farm Aid was started by Willie Nelson, Neil Young and John Mellencamp in 1985 to keep family farmers on the land and has worked since then to make sure everyone has access to good food from family farmers. Dave Matthews joined Farm Aid's board of directors in 2001.

John did at one time live in Goodlettsville, Tn the same town that Garth lived in just north of Nashville, Davidson County.

Yes, I had heard that. I used to work at a radio station here in Kentucky near where the KY Music Hall of fame is located. I never really ran into famous singers, just met a lot of local celebrities from time-to-time.

No, not by a long shot. "Friday Night Blues" was a big hit. The man is a legend here in Kentucky and has many concerts in Renfro Valley near here every year. There is a highway named after him that runs through Versailles, Kentucky. He is in the KY Music hall of fame and also on the board of the museum. I used to work with a guy that was on the board with him, just haven't met Mr. Conlee yet but hope to one day. I also liked his song as a kid growing up.
