Up late with my tabby cat Lexus. He's 15+ years old. (=^o^=)He hasn't been feeling well. I'm thinking this wicked track might cheer him up.

The only part of a song that never gets copyrighted is its title, so there could be a dozen different songs called "Time after Time" and plenty of hard-to-avoid confusion. The one recorded by Coltrane was written by Jule Styne and Sammy Cahn and introduced by Frank Sinatra in the 1947 movie "It Happened in Brooklyn." The other "Time after Time" that most people these days know, the one co-written and first recorded by Cyndi Lauper in 1983, became a favorite of Miles Davis, who recorded it 1984 and kept it in his active repertoire right up until he died in 1991. I don't think Miles ever recorded the Jule Styne tune, although he may have played it on occasion back in the 1950s and 60s.

I'm trippin. Coltrane did this song. Miles covered Cyndi Laupers right? Is there a relation between the two?
