Love it. John has always been my fave muso. I think he writes what I'm thinking. Well, I feel as if his stuff is where I'm at.

I think it's amazing that Cale still plays with so much passion. 36+ years after this piece was composed, and he remains tuned in to all that fury.

This is the band that he played with on Jools Holland Later on 12 OCT 2012 if I am not mistaken. Does anyone know what songs they played in that performance? Some of it was really great. Maybe I am looking for the 2005 performance if this was uploaded in 2011! What I saw, John looked like this and played keys with the same bloke on electric guitar and they were fantastic.

John Cale - so under-rated and so dynamic. Who is the great guitarist on his Later With Jools Holland performances?

This made me smile. Cale looks like a great composer, worthy of a marble bust. This was the first Cale song I ever heard when I bought the Island Anthology before going to college. It's still my favorite!

@MushroomKingdom919 There was a live version taken a year or two where half the song was converted into fusion dance, I'm sad to see that go.

Chickened out with this version. What happened to the fusion electronica he worked into it?
