John Cale is never overlooked by a discerning section. It is where he wants to be. From Velvet Underground and Lou Reed why would John Cale be anywhere other except where he is today. He is and was exceptional. a chart success was never on his radar. Listen to Golda Meyer.

Interesting version of a great song. I like the drums. If you wanted to stick some drums on a Cale solo version, you'd never think of adding that drum lick. That's what makes Cale special, I suppose. The little guitar solo by Ollie Halsall at the end is breathtaking, and that solo makes this my favourite version that I've heard so far.

Really amazing. This different musical composition makes it even deeper.

What I fine song! Thanks for making it available. The drum arrangement is interesting. Sounds like a donkey with a couple of extra legs it'd be happier without.

@ianwilson2007 I have a huge love for the strings. Think they can make more feeling. To give Cale justice it takes a good song and pull off it many different ways. Equally both good. Agree to disagree or something lol

What a simply awesome version. Much better than on the album. Can we buy it?

And David Young playing the bass. Funny enough, David and Ollie switched instruments at the Madrid concert earlier, while David did a stellar job on the lead guitar at the Rockpalast concert 1984, with Andy Heermans on the bass and David Lichtenstein on drums.
