Interesting with the early distortion or "Fuzz" a la Grady Martin.

Absolutely live, but the pizzicato strings must have been in the orchestra pit

Isn't the brass/reed section a little superfluous?

Well i'm old enough to remember this tune was used as the theme to Juke Box Jury back in the sixties hosted by the legendary David Jacobs.

It's amazing how 12 bar blues tunes became hits.

Er, maybe it's me eyes doctor, or is it me ears. This is a predominantly pizzicato tune, so way the brass? Vic Flick's on his own really...

Brilliant, thanks for posting. I've love this tune for years but couldn't remember who it was by or what it was called despite humming it to countless people. then yesterday, I hummed it to an old guy who was a mod in the sixties and straight away he said, '...oh! that's hit and miss!!' hooray.
