Yes I think so. I'm pointing out that in my opinion someone plays a song better if he reinterprets the theme of it and also especially in a song like "the days of wine and roses" from time to time gives a little idea of the theme to his soloing. That's why i prefer the version of Wes Montgomery and do not like Abercrombie's one. Let me ask you a question have you listened to the Interpretation I refered to or did you just take me for an idiot because I don't like this video?

This is not the days of wine and roses. It's some improvised something over cords that are kind of the same like in the days of wine and roses. But this has nothing to do with the song. Listen to how wes played it, he went with the soul of the song perfectly.

Thanks for posting- there's nothing like watching someone create spontaneously like this. Always intrigued me to watch great players " talk" as they play. Great lines and nice to hear him play an old standard like this...

rexicano lol I never said to use metronome to learn to have the rhythm. I see no harm in studying tho. You probably think otherwise. Opinions are ok but why "no one likes"? You mean "you" dont like. Probably a lazy pentatonic captive if that XD I can imagine you bending a few notes in 5th position saying: "music doesn't require learning boring difficult things, just use your 'heart' ". If that's the case try easier tunes, Jingle Bells, Teletubbies... Let the audience decide who "sucks" tho ;)
