In the early 70's I got to see Mr.Williams up close and personal at a concert at Gov.State Univ. in University Park IL.The concert was poorly attended because the people running it were amateurs. But that played to my advantage because I was sitting so close I could hear Freddie Green's guitar. Butch Miles was on drums and Nat Pierce was filling in for Mr.Basie because he was ill. Thanks for posting this.
