Starting off with a very animated Joe chatting with the guests Ann Jillian and Dick Clark and a nice performance of "Life In The Fast Lane" playing with Jack Mack and The Heart Attack .......Does anybody know the name of the host?

Love joe Walsh , Alcohol can strip respect from the best of us, let alone joe Walsh. Character , guitar genius, performing half cut ! Shame drugs have a downside. Peace.

Phenomenal what a showman Joe Walsh really is, so many musicians let their addictions mess up their performances, but Joe never let his fans suffer. Even when he is obviously messed up and drunk out of his mind, he brought a hell of a show. I respect that, this man is one of the all time greats.

In 1988, Ross Shafer succeeded Joan Rivers as host of the Fox Network talk show The Late Show. The stint lasted one year, after which Shafer co-hosted the ABC network magazine show Days End with rotating hosts Spencer Christian, Matt Lauer, and Hannah Storm. From 1990 to 1991, Shafer hosted a revival of Match Game on ABC.

Back in the days when Joe drank like a fish he thought he was a comedian but he wasn't he was terrible, thankfully he was always a great musician.

That's one thing I always admired about Joe: Even at the rock bottom, when it came to playing, the guy ALWAYS brought it. I saw him in this era at the Miami Metrozoo. He literally could barely walk when he got on stage, introduced his first song as something like "WaaazuuuufrumpMuhammmmauh! HeeezahJameeeezGangguhsongzaataaaatzaahknowzzzzyaaagonnnnamember! Wuzz! Taah! Fuhree!" And then just SHREDDED a note-perfect Funk 49. God bless this guy.

He was BOTH coked-out-of-his-mind, AND drunk-as-a-skunk. You can see the coke influence on his jaw movements, and the alcohol is blatantly- and painfully-obvious.God...he really was on-the-path to death, and The Eagles really DID save his life.

What a brilliant version, probably as rough and ready as Joe wanted it when he wrote it, before the rough edge was knocked off it by Don Henley's sweeter vocal.

I love Joe and his music. To see this is kinda painful - what with him being so out of it. And I'm SOOO damn glad he kicked the habit all those decades ago and is still one of the best ever and can not just enjoy his life, but remember it. Luv ya, Joe! Give us more music, man!

I love Ann Jillian and how she relates to both Dick & Joe! This was a delightful show! Loved it, thanks for positing. I love that album "But Seriously Folks" by Joe Walsh and his band with Joey Murcia on guitar with Joe - was GREAT!!!!!
