J.Walsh fan here, but this tune is almost self parody...and, the voice part(s) are coincidentally so skewered by echo, auto tune etc, that the title and 'point' is ironical, lol!

15 years old, I can't stand most technology, so I love this song. Relates to me, my dad, and the rest of my dad's side of the family.

He has earned, the greatness, even if he is on a potty shiittting, for music. It is better to be an ever been, than a never been.

You gotta love the sub-genre of "old rock star doesn't understand culture/technology" songs. This one features Joe's signature mix of solid guitar work and shitty vocals and it works, but it's not as good as Don Henley's 1982 "I Tried And Tried (But I Just Cannot Program My Betamax VCR)."

This song should hit home with every Baby Boomer rocker that still lives. We all remember cutting out shoe boxes for our 8 track tapes, replacing the bands with just the right size one and using a match book under the tape. I still love new rock, Audioslave, Foo Fighters, etc... . But the vinyl still calls me home.

Odds are if you are listening to this, it's probably pretty ironic. I totally disagree with the views in this song but, i really like it. Makes me understand their perspective a little more.

I'd rather listen to Joe Walsh or most anything from the 70's on an old ratty cassette tape with horrible hiss and pronounced tape warble than anything that has come out in the last few decades (aside from this great Joe Walsh tune, of course). Actually I do. Cassettes hold their own. I have 40 year old cassettes that still sound awesome.

The biggest irony is that while he did release this also on vinyl, it was recorded in a digital studio :/
