On this day in 1966 {January 29th} Joe Tex performed "I Want To (Do Everything For You)" on the syndicated television program 'Hollywood A Go-Go'... Five months earlier on August 28th, 1965 it entered Billboard's Hot Top 100 chart; eventually it peaked at #23 and spent 13 weeks on the Top 100... And on October 9th it reached #1 {for 3 weeks} on Billboard's Hot R&B Singles chart... Joe Tex passed away on August 13th, 1982; just five days after his 47th birthday {heart attack}... May he R.I.P.

It seemed as though my husband tried to do everything he sung about in this song. thank you so much for reminding me how much my husband loved me. He is passed away now. You never miss the water til the well runs dry.
