My fav is Crystal Planet, very cold, futuristic, airy, one of best tone and sound ever. If somebody hear Crystal Planet for the first time in 2015, absolutely they will shock this is 1998 album. Unstoppable Momentum also great...And this new album sound like extention of Crystal Planet Album?

Sounds like to me, as described; jumping of a cliff for the first time, not knowing if you can but learning to fly - Joe Satriani Oh yeah and it was recorded at Skywalker Sound Studio in Lucas Valley; the force was strong in this one !

Such a hypnotic beat, then a break into the soaring melody. I also really, really love his tone on this. Man, this tune is growing on me. The ending is very 'War'. Love how he is evoking moments from his past career, it's almost an autobiographical record so far. Genius.

Definitely Joe has some badass songs, this one might not be as good as Crystal Planet or Souls of Distortion, but it seems this album is going to be better than the last one.
