'Hearing Hendrix just changed me forever' - guitar is about the power of expression - Joe Satriani is brilliantbut Hendrix was a PHENOMENOM!

I remember the first time I herd Satriani...Zack's place...The music "touched" me...what was that? It was strange beautiful music! Strange indeed! I had eaten a few mushrooms and could not stop laughing through the whole ablum. I don't think ill ever forget this moment! THANKS JOE!

That was one hell of a generation of guitar players Satriani came from: not sure about Zakk Wylde (he came roughly ten years later), but Eddie Van Halen, Randy Rhoads (a personal fave of mine as well), Steve Vai, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Steve Stevens, Michael Schenker, Uli Jon Roth, John Sykes, Brian Robertson, Neil Giraldo, Dr. Know (Bad Brains), Vernon Reid, Jesse Johnson, and even Prince (who needs to do a serious guitar album just to let folks know how good he truly is on that damn thing, lol).

You hit the nail on the head their my brother. Rolling Stone is the perfect reverse barometer for music and musicians, most days. What a shit rag.

VH's 1984 was my draught of elixer; I'll never forget that night in the car on that dark lot.

Satch plays with Sammy because they can get along musically and as friends. Alot of people don't care for Hagar but alot of musicians like to play with Sammy. Slash,Alice Cooper,Tommy Lee,Nugent,Metallica,Brad Whitford,Toby Keith, the list goes on. ZZ Top,Keith Richards are all friends with the REDROCKER. Sammy did his best stuff before VH and keeps going. The VH saga is over because EVH couldn't sober his ass up, now the new VH is crashing again. DLR is soo bad in concert.

The person who wrote "Joe Satriani changed my life forever" beat me to it..... But when I first heard this guys music I was blown away pretty much the same way Hendrix blew Satch away
