I must be one of maybe 30 people of my age who have never seen any of the "Godfather" trilogy... :(

I was really disappointed when I read the back of the CD where Joe Jackson wrote that Jumpin Jive was just a one shot album. I was hoping he would do at least one more jazz/bop/swing album, maybe along the lines of Theo Monk or Charlie Parker?

@tdalaska None of my friends appreciate JJ's music. If anyone were to say they don't love this album, in particular, well, I would say to them, "You ain't got no red corpuscles!" LOL!

Of course this song works as HR/HM audience/venue-vomit inducement; it's a jump blues from the late 40's. It's glorious for what it is. Every so many years, we get a swing and jump blues revival. The last one was in the late 90's, and this song was from the smaller one of the early 80's. There should likely be another one in a few more short years, if the world still turns by then. This song shall belong to it then, too.

No mo', huh? Yeah - definitely not rock and roll - I can see where this would come in handy for dispersing a crowd. lol

Used be in a hard rock band..we ended the night with this song just to throw the crowd off and throw them out.

@RavenandKidFlash I didn't know this went public - was told WB music had blocked the audio content. Thanks for your comment - and the heads up!
