Yes Joe, Richard Tee was the keyboard player of Stuff, I have since discovered that this is indeed Stuff backing Mr. Cocker here (Richard Tee, Eric Gale, Cornell Dupree, Gordon Edwards, Steve Gadd, and Chris Parker), they did this album and a tour with him, wish I'd learned that sooner.

That's from his "Stingray" album, which is superbly laid back. I might be wrong but I think the band here were mostly the american session players who were on the album. One name which springs to mind is Richard Tee. Albert Lee and Eric Clapton also guested on it.
