“They always try to write off the blues; well we’ve proven tonight that at least 9,000 people like the blues,” said celebrated blues rock master Joe Bonamassa who released his highly anticipated Joe Bonamassa – Muddy Wolf At Red Rocks on DVD, Blu-ray and CD set on March 24, 2015. The exclusive concert experience tributing blues legends Muddy Waters and Howlin’ Wolf was filmed at Red Rocks Amphitheater over Labor Day weekend in 2014. Carved into the bedrock of Colorado’s majestic Rocky Mountains, the famed amphitheater sets the stage for Bonamassa’s fiery delivery of over 2.5 hours of bluesy guitar-wailing and horn-filled tunes honoring the two Blues greats. Playing to a sold-out crowd of 9,000 fans, this marks the biggest show of Bonamassa’s career, a major milestone for the bluesman. The Blu-ray and DVD contains over 1.5 hours of bonus features including exclusive behind the scenes footage, a photo gallery, historic footage of Muddy Waters and Howlin’ Wolf, and a featurette of Bonamassa and producer Kevin Shirley’s trip to The Crossroads.

Historic footage licensed from Historic Films Archive.

The song was taken from “Muddy Wolf at Red Rocks” DVD and is owned by record label J&R Adventures, LLC, the operator of this channel.

The song “Spoonful” was originally written by Willie Dixon. Publisher: Hoochie Coochie Music (BMI)

la mejor version de Spoonful que he escuchado. Y creo conocer varias. Superior incluso a las de Cream tanto las de 1969 como las de 2005. Impresionante. Increibles Bonamassa y Rodhes.

I still prefer the version of Cream at RAH. Eric's improvisation skills are way better...

Why is everyone trashing on joe? He never said he was covering these songs to sound just like muddy waters or howlin wolf. Hes doing it in dedication. Hes making the songs his own. And frankly theyre awesome!!! So stop bashing on joe. You dont like him dont watch the videos

I tried to express a comment and YT censored all of it. A copy cat is not adding anything -it is an insult to the original.

Bonamassa sucks. Seriously, he may have chops but he has NO soul. And take your f$%kin sunglasses off tool. It's nighttime.

Didn't really enjoy this, although he's a great singer and guitarist, I felt his voice didn't match this particular song all that well, and the solo was too fast for the feel of the song (although again, he executed it to perfection in terms of guitar technique).

Sorry I Was Not Here...
