Some strange people comment on the Internet. That's a 16 year old boy, 22 years ago, finding his way on the guitar, whilst on stage with the 'then' premier Blues player of the time, and he's doing what any other 16 year old kid would be doing, and that's taking his moment, except he's the 'only' 16 year old kid who could probably have held it together under such a spotlight.Like it or not, that's an outstanding performance from a wonderful guitar player.

..Bonamassa is first class wanker.... ..hes only achieved recognition because a lot of spotty faced kids think playing too many notes very fast is good..

Terrible playing all round but fucking hell those guys knew how to dress in those days.

Damn, Bonamassa spent equal time wanking on the guitar and probably on his dick, as every 16 year old would...wait a minute, forget that "wanking the guitar" on a typical 16 year old, that doesn´t happen.

The following is MY opinion, of five guitarists in the same general 90's time frame era that blow away Joe Bonamassa proving his overratedness; in no particular order...1. Danny Gatton 2. Roy Buchanan, 3. Blues Saraceno, 4. Johnny Hiland, 5. Don Ross

How could anyone criticize that?? It was phenomenal for any age never mind 16. That was one awesome clinic on how to solo!

Bonamassa has NO music soul, and its still same now, unfortunately....On the contrary Robben is a musician;

It looks like since the beginning of his career JB got confused with the speed/feeling dilema.On the other hand, look at Robben's solo, so gentle and beautiful, but at the same time firm and good-tasting.

Impressive stuff from JB for a 16yo kid at the time...sure the maturity/phrasing is not all there but seriously, how many ppl here can honestly say they could've kept up with little JB when they were 16? It's also obvious as already pointed out that RF is letting little JB have the spotlight - it was healthy for his growth/development at the time to mature into the monster player that he is today.

Joe was just a pup...the aggression in his playing reminds of Gary Moore....Robben is a master.

Great playing, but he clearly had not worked out a look yet! Acid washed blues ;-)
