I really like the drummer. (whole band for that matter) but he just keeps the beat solid and mostly always in the pocket. Good stuff.

@MrVoiceofreason123 Exactly. A listen to his catalog would show his vast range of styles.

Smokin' hot. I'm just wondering how anyone can compare Vai who gets so technical sometimes it's easier to imagine wearing a haute-couture creation on the streats of some godforsaken dirty old town, then listening him playing (and I've listened to him). For benchmark, I listen prog and metal a lot, but can still FEEL the difference between the technical guitarists virtuoso world-wide-whatever, and this guy playing. Bonamassa sings and plays straight from the heart. For himself, and for us.

@Sampz93 same. when he improvises, its REAAALLY good. he should just do that for all of the solos, maybe referencing the studio solos.

Personally don't like Steve Vai too much. Clapton, Buck Dharma, Brian Setzer, Iommi, Page, BONAMASSA, Blackmore etc. Are several guitarist I love, They all have something special and are interesting, they play music for music itself, And then again you can't really compare musicians. Taste.
