I love this version but the thing that I thought kicked a** about this song was that the remixes included a version Jody recorded called "When A Man Loves A Man" - almost identical lyrics but about gay relationships instead of straight. Both versions are poignant. Props and much love for having the courage to record both versions so many years ago when it was still taboo to even suggest gay marriage. Thank you, Jody. :)

Great point. The fact the Jody decided to record this song with a New Jack Swing was very innovative. Especially when New Jack Swing was on it's last legs. This song was very innovative and empowering. In fact Jody said that it her daughter was the inspiration for this song. She said that one day her daughter was watching videos and asked mommy why do women be showing their behinds in videos? Jody wrote that song shortly afterwards
