Jody Sands - Sayonara (live, Jamboree 1957). Jodie Sands (born Eleanor DiSipio) was an American popular singer, who hailed from Philadelphia. Jodie's first love was classical music, and her father helped her prepare for an operatic career. But when she was 19, Jodie discovered that pop music was for her. She started to sing in night clubs around Philadelphia and landed jobs with top orchestras. The one night stands throughout the country helped Jodie develop her fine style and "With All My Heart" put her right on top.
She had only one major hit, "With All My Heart," which reached #15 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in 1957. One other recording of hers, "Someday (You'll Want Me to Want You)," barely made the Top 100 chart the following year, reaching #95, but did better in the United Kingdom, where it reached #14.
She also appeared in the 1957 film Jamboree.
