Job For A Cowboy - The Divine Falsehood

The ninth song from Job For A Cowboy's album "Genesis"

Lyrics:

I stood in the sand from the mouth of the sea, and I watched a serpent rise from its depths

Upon his horns rested ten crowns, as the discord of trumpets grew unnerving

Its perception giving an overruling mentality of authority and supremacy

All dwellers of earth shall pray, and worship this form of a single demon

Whose names are not written in ink or blood in the book of the life of the lamb

Shal be slain from the foundation of this declining and now decaying world

Never gave these guys a chance until I heard Sun of Nihility and then the entire Sun Eater album, which is a fucking masterpiece of a record. This ain't half bad either, a lot different than I was expecting. I had some negative preconceived notion of them, no idea where it came from, but I'm thinking it was wrong. This shit is great. Dark as fuck.

Much like The Divine Comedy was a historic and beautiful portrayal of the myth of hell, this song is a modern day version exclaiming the revelations myth in much shorter, but equally perceptive, yet brutal, poetic discourse. Whether you like metal or not, if you like art, you cannot deny the power invoked by the talent of Job for a Cowboy.

I think he meant to pronounce the words differently to make it sound more demonic, but that's just my opinion.

"He can't pronounce the words QQQQQQQQQQQQQQQ" Damn people. I hope you realize that this was their first album after 2 EPs. Of course his vocals are going to be more jumbled. Johnny has had like 6 years to work on his voice since this. Just enjoy the music and rock out with your cock out. Or if your a girl you can jam out with you clam out
