I love these guys as much as anybody else here, but all the "JEW founded emo" comments are killing me. Emo goes back to the '80s, as a label for hardcore punk bands who sang about personal matters rather than the social/political commentary that '70s punk is famous for. At most, JEW was second-wave (some say third) emo with Clarity; the same as Weezer with Pinkerton.

your entitled to your opinion but I don't think there's really any other band that expresses different emotions like JEW does. That's why I think their special. If we're talking purely musically they do have a few songs that aren't just power chords either.

i guess you've got a point. i'm not sure if JEW was the foundation of emo music tho. and yes the radio hasn't touched any of there good stuff. so i guess we've come to a kind of mutual agreement.

eh imma kinda agree with eversincealways b/c i don't see nothing so special about this band and yes they sold out went underground and then sold out again i think there ok i don't hate them but there nothing special there just to idk meloncoly? there vocalist isn't the best i've ever seen which is probably why there not doing so great srry but i'm just expressing my opinion

id actually rather they weren't known "world wide" i think they have a pretty great fan base already and fame just ruins bands. Especially one i loved that goes by the name of "fall out boy" =/ ruined my life.
