Samuel LottAnd another thing. Why even mention Donnie and .38 Special in this context ? Anyone who has followed their career knows what a great band they are and have always been. They had their own sound their own fan base apart from Skynyrd. .38 had a huge influence on music in the 80s and continue to wow them in the following century. Your comment made absolutely no sense.

Samuel Lott" I hear he's actually not a Van Zant "OK, here we go again with this bull shit . Jimmy's Dad is E.C Van Zant. E.C is Lacy Van Zant's brother. Lacy is Ronnie, Donnie and Johnny's Dad. That makes them first cousins. I have no idea where this lack of facts BS originates. Jimmy spent a lot of his growing up years in the Van Zant home. He and Johnny are closest in age. Best to fact check before posting what you 'hear'

i like this song and if I hope this is a good thing but compared to your kin, Ronnie (RIP) , Donnie and Johnny, the voice is hauntingly similar with the others with a lot of feeling, Good luck to Jimmie .

He has that VanZant "twang" to his voice. I understand he's actually not a Vanzant - assumed the name. 1st or 2nd cousin maybe? A lot of people are offended that Donnie, Johnny, Jimmie, and other try to capitalize on Ronnie's name and appearance. It doesn't really bother me much. When .38 Special was first seen on MTV, I thought Donnie was showing respect for his big brother, moreso than just trying to find the money.
