Jimmie Riddle (September 3, 1918 - December 10, 1982) performing his Fox Chase technique par excellence.

For many years he was Roy Acuff's piano, harmonica and accordion player, often featured at famous country music circus the "Hee Haw". His eephing & hamboning show there is more than just worth a watch, too. My what an artist...

Enjoy!

Agreed. Jimmy was an incredible musician but you rarely (if ever) saw his musical talents on Hee Haw.

Yes we miss all of the Hee Haw gang but under no circumstances will you ever get most people to believe the 2 knee-slappin' eefin'/ eiffen' goofballs were doing anything but corking off being funny like they did from the time they practiced it behind the barn as kids. It just LOOKS too entirely EASY & FUN to be anything else!

Jimmie Riddle and Jackie Phelps operated at a high level of creativity to which most of us could only admire and aspire. Both are greatly missed.

Kim Feilds book "Harmonicas, Harps and Heavy Breathers" has a swell write up about Jimmy Riddle. He felt right at home with Jazz music and was quite an intellectual. It really did not show when he was hand farting a song or eephin it away but he was an all around genious.
