1957 is usually a bit early for me, but here's Jimmy (Jimmie) Lloyd, aka. Jimmy Logsdon, with "Where The Rio De Rosa Flows".

I never thought I would hear Jimmie Logsdon again. I remember hearing him in 1953 and I thought he was relly going places. Never quiet made it though and I can't understand why. The song I remember were "papaya mama" and "I wanna be mama'd". He kinda dropped from radio play in our neck of the woods after that. Thanks for posting this *****

Thanks for dropping by. Love the guitar work on this song, and even more so on 'You're Gone Baby'.

My Uncle, Howard Whited, used to play guitar with Jimmie. Wonder if he's in this recording?

Alas, I don't have a "Rocket In My Pocket"... musically speaking.

Carl Perkins covered it in '58 for Columbia.
