In one of Hendrix's biography's (Crosstown Traffic, by Charles Shaar Murray) it mentions how this is one of the songs hendrix did play with Little Richard, under the name of "Maurice", Hendrix (18 years old) is who plays that sloppy solo, and it just goes to show that anybody with enough determination can learn to play the guitar like a god!

It is Little Richard. Years later a guitar was overdubbed,with the suggestion that it was Jimi Hendrix. But he was never involved in these sessions.

@60spower -- I don't think it matters who the guitar. It may be Dewey Terry. But either way, its great rock'n'roll -- one of the best Little Richard records from the 1960s.

This should be called Little Richard - Whole Lotta Shakin' Goin' On, as it was his album and Jimi was with him at the time. Calling it Jimi Hendrix is misleading.

Actually if you can believe Wikipedia , Hendrix did play on this track. The album is called "Friends from the beginning" by Little Richard and Jimi Hendrix which was released in 1972. Check it out on Wikipedia.

Actually, this track has nothing to do with Hendrix. He only recorded a couple songs with Richard, and this isn't one of them.
