This is the November 25, 1967 BlackPool Opera House performance of "Wild Thing". Please note his humor at first: "Would you please be quiet for a minute, I am trying to tune my guitar, can't you see that?" He then bellows out a very off-tune sound, and says, "Ohhhhmm, God I almost did not make that one." He then says, "We tune up because we really care for your ears! That is why we don't play so loud!" Jimi gets a large volume of laughter. You will love the following humor and his song, Wild Thing". Are you experienced? If you watch this you will!

...such joy and exhuberance..and kick-ass attitude! this clip is so great to find, as a big Jimi fan..so much of the most famous footage is of a worn-out and disenchanted Hendrix. Here he is an the first flush of fame, loving every second! :)

So many beautiful details in this great performance, and such fun they were having on all levels. I especially like where the guitar says 'Thankyou' at 3.53...

"We tune because we care for your ears, that's why we don't play it so loud." He says that all the time on live recordings.
