2 Blue Rodeo songs from this part of the world i call MY CANADA before what will be my la la land.... Pull Me Through, and Bullet Proof, and together it just means i'm lucky enough for someone to pull me through whenever i feel i'm too tough to feel i have emotional weaknesses. i'm not afraid of feeling vulnerable and sure i have people around to remind me i'm not invincible....

not for the lack of choice, this one is always near the top of my favorite playlist. what choice there is though, you can always listen to something else. i'm quite capable of listening to this alone....so all in all, that's my choice because it might not even be another person, but the song alone always pulls me through..

Lyrics: There's paper scattered on the lawnBirds up on the lineThere's letters left unopened hereThere never is the timeThere's messages I should returnAnd people I should callI'm still tripping over echoesLeft lying in the hallThere's a light comesThrough the darknessSlowly to my eyesYou can fall back here foreverI just never realizedTime won't let me goAnd every night I knowThat you could pull me throughYou could always pull me throughEven when I'm lying hereDrowning in my bluesYou take the sting out of the rainAnd bring the sun back up againYou could always pull me throughWe stood outside togetherAnd we laughed like ancient friendsThen we lay down in a fieldJust where the road begins and endsI see you in the mirrorAnd I watch you from a farMy friends all think I'm crazyBut I know the way things areOutside I hear voicesUnderneath the moonAnd I'm grateful for whatever breaksThe silence in this roomTime won't let me goAnd every night I knowThat you could pull me throughYou could always pull me throughEven when I'm lying hereDrowning in my bluesYou take the sting out of the rainAnd bring the sun back up againDarling you could always pull me throughI hope you're traveling well nowAnd there's stars over your headAnd I hope the river carries youEverywhere you saidI miss the way you look at meThe way you wear your hairI miss the conversationsWe left hanging in the airLate at night I wake upWonder what's been doneBut I know our life togetherWill go on and onYou could pull me throughYou could always pull me throughWrap your arms around meAnd chase away my bluesYou could take the sting out of the rainAnd bring the sun back up againYou could always pull me throughYou could always pull me through"Pull Me Through" was written by Merle Kilgore.SONGWRITERSMERLE KILGOREPUBLISHED BYSHELBY SINGLETON MUSIC INC

This song has been a daily favorite for me for years, recently my niece died and I can't even listen to it all the way through :( so bittersweet

This is not about him being on the road - its was written when his AUNT died and is about that relationship between his uncle and Aunt. It is noted in several interviews with Jim.

FYI this video Jim wrote for all the times he was on the road without his wife. I saw him explain it on the CBC Morning show, when the album first came out. Its about him and his wife.

pendant mon divorce, en pleine peine d'amour, cette chanson me donnait un peu d'espoir

Nothing short of one of the most beautiful songs ever written and sung by a man with a voice so great, it gives goosebumps every time I hear it.
