This is so weird. I have never heard this album version of the song… I have only ever heard the raw acoustic version from the 20th Anniversary box set and I absolutely love that song. But this version… oh my god…. I'm sorry but I just can't accept this. Wow… what a great example of how the first version of a song you hear can affect you greatly.

The only prog band that really nailed that 80's synth transition was Genesis. Tull and Yes tried to follow suit, but Genesis was organic, not produced to sell albums.

I always enjoyed this album despite negative feelings by most towards it, I'd kinda like to hear him do an album today with modern electronics see how it would sound I mean I still enjoy classic Tull the best but I think Anderson did well with this considering he was out of his familiar territory

From This Was to A this band was glorious.

Jethro Tull was a prog-rock band. Like Rush, the masses tended to ignore their greatness. The best thing about bands like these, is that I can't get sick of them since they bring so many different sounds to the table.

When I first heard the songs from this album, I wasn't sure if I was listening to Jethro Tull or Flock of Seagulls.

I wouldn't have minded this so much if it had featured a real drummer. Those dated electric beats are just... not very good at all. The songs were a smote indifferent, but well played they could have popped to life a bit. Ah, well.

This song swims between Videogame music and Chinese music.

@hayzeephantayzee Then why don't they play it live?

I bought this album from Columbia House, listened to part of it and promptly returned it. Not the Tull I was used to listening to, and hated the electronic movement.

while lots of other 70s rockbands became just terrible and dull in the 80ties, the Tull kept going forwards. looking back, this is a very entertaining album. experimenting, daring, searching. synths or guitars or both, what does it matter?

@ReeferRevolution This is Aragorn (via my other username)...Um...where was I historically inaccurate? I never mentioned anything about the first synth. Put down that reefer.

@AragornIsStrider ok your statement is historically inaccurate and completely absurd the first synth was advented by bill moog and there is much speculation as to the first band to feature it on album but the bands in question are from 67-68 well before thick as a brick

What would actually sound really good is if they used the vocal melody from the acoustic version (Under Wraps 2) but over the full electronic music :)
