Another track off of the Nightcap album in 1993.

Lyrics - Your mother she protected you

And softened every blow

And brought you up to fear the worst

To be careful as you go.

And the learned educators

With dripfeed facts did fill

You up to here with reason

Well-meaning overkill.

If you find yourself a-growing

to be old before your time,

Get off the endless corridor

Set your soul out on the line.

Drive on the young side of life

Drive on the young side of life

Drive on the young side of life

When the pressure pains are building

And you're forced to join the crush

In the race to mediocrity

So respectable and plush.

And while the child within is raging

And threatens to break out,

Get off the endless corridor

Make a timely turnabout.

Drive on the young side of life,

Drive on the young side of life,

Drive on the young side of life.

Drive on the young side of life,

Drive on the young side of life,

Drive on the young side of life.

Drive on the young side of life,

Drive on the young side of life.

this is one truly underrated album, beautiful songs. especially the ones that were the first nucleus of "a passion play" (which is the best JT album in my opinion). i'm really proud to own this two CD.

I love all of these unreleased Tull tracks, especially the ones from the Broadsword and the Beast album that weren't even released as Bonus tracks on the remaster! Tull made loads of great music in the 80s. Wish this sound of theirs was more embraced.

@yubsugable Well this is kind of like a compilation album, its just an assortment of unreleased tracks from over the years. Its pretty rare, but I would recommend it if your a big Tull fan, which you seem to be!

Well I like to post the more rare songs because they don't get as much exposure.

Yeah, you gave me that idea with the whole story of the colored booze! Yeah, now you can pretty much go in anywhere and get something to drink! Probably becuase everyones so broke thats all they can afford is booze!

That's the same colour as methylated spirits ! Up until a few years ago when you bought some at a shop, you used to have to sign for it, as poor people were drinking it. No problem with that now, just go to the local supermarket and beer is cheaper than water !!
