They played in Chicago last night. They started kind of slow, not really into it I thought, and I was getting disappointed. But they started pulling it together and then launched into this song. Totally blew me away. A sonic distortion orgasm. Best freaking guitar shred and feedback noise so musically divine. Damn, it wasted me.

I would just call them "post-punk". They were a bit early for "alternative", although they helped lay the path, and they were a bit late, and more musically challenged (not that they didn't make good music), for "new wave."
