I can't understand how this guy wrote this song. The rest of his records sound nothing like it and are less melodical, and are sung more in his vocal range than this one.

Jesse Harris has a new album out! "No Wrong No Right" is amazing and definitely showcases his amazing writing skills.

Jesse is one of the finest songwriters to come along .. so happy he performed at The New York Songwriters Circle, such an inspiration to all the other writers.

So beautiful. It's so nice to hear the writer's version and feel his emotion. Nothing comercial about it. So moving from the creator himself! I love it!

I have to admit I was spoiled by Norah Jones' amazing remake of this song but I can still appreciate the original creator of this great song C:

This is a modern classic. Nice to see it performed by its composer. There are of course many different versions and each listener will form their own opinion about them (I like fretkillr's version, as it happens). There's not necessarily any 'best' one.

I can attest that Jesse Harris wrote this song. I would know as I am an immediate family member.

First off songs come from the abundance of the heart. Pain, suffering, sadness, hope, joy. etc Life experiences. Secondly. It is just something, that sometimes happens, One shares a song with another, and they tweak it a little, and claim the song as their own. One example of this is Steven wrote "My heart is drenched in why" ( hence the title ) Changed to "Wine" That is just on of the examples he shared with me. Believe me I questioned him on this claim at length, and he was adamant.

Inspiration is not the writing. Where is any evidence that some guy named Seve Melnick wrote it? Anyone can claim anything-- happens all the time

It does kinda make sense, cause when people write songs for themselves... usually it's in a more comfortable vocal range... beautiful song... but it makes me pretty sad if what you're saying is true... Why do you say this?

"Don't know why" Was actually written by a homeless alcoholic. Name : Steve Melnick from Oakland CA. Not some Yuppy !
