Jerry Reed was just something else ... lightyears ahead of his competitors in tallent,ability,charm ..he was a smart guy who could run circles round the others ... you could practice guitar for 30lifetimes an not be as capable as JR .. an even as an actor he stole the show an was a great actor i get the feeling that whatever he decided to do he did it too the absolute best of his ability an worked his arse off .. asmuch as i love the legends Cash an Jennings .. i feel that with Reed i get extra

Jerry Reed was a gift from god .. shame i discovered him only recently .. but i been spreading the word an everyone i introduced his music to is blown away .. he is without a doubt one of the biggest tallents ever .. just an endless collection of gems .. its an overwhelming an overloading tallent .. no true best of can be done .. cos he was consistently comming out with top league songs an masterpieces ___whatever he did he did it did . guitar,comedy,singing,acting,talking . he had it all

I remember playing on this. I told Jerry when I arrived at the session that I don't frail the banjo...that I had NEVER played the frailing style of banjo! He just smiled at me and said, "Well hoss, when you leave here tonight, you can say you've frailed a banjo!" LOL Never a dull moment with Reed! I love that man to this day. Sad for us, but heaven is now a lot more fun.
