The highlight for me on "The Glen Campbell Goodtime Comedy Hour" was whenever Jerry Reed stopped by. It was his appearances that led to his own summer replacement series. Burt Reynolds was a fan of Jerry's music and was surprised at how funny Jerry was. It's said that the summer replacement show convinced Burt to cast Jerry in "W.W. and the Dixie Dance Kings". And the rest, as they say, is history.

Great footage, thanks for posting! Jerry should be recognized as co-writer. The song is credited only to Allen Toussaint. So was it him or Glen who copped Jerry's riff? Whatever the circumstance, proper songwriting credit was not acknowledged and it should be. Anyhow, wonderful performance.
