Four months earlier on October 31st, 1970 it entered Billboard's Hot Top 100 chart; eventually it peaked at #8 and spent 24 weeks on the Top 100... It reached #2 in Canada and #16 on the Country chart... Jerry Reed passed away on September 1st, 2008 at age 71... R.I.P.
