The Killer, Jerry Lee, performs his 1968 Top Ten hit, "Another Place, Another Time". His shift to country reflected the fact that he had grown up listening to the Grand Ole Opry. Lewis was born to the poor family of Elmo and Mamie Lewis in Ferriday in Concordia Parish in eastern Louisiana, and began playing piano in his youth with his two cousins, Mickey Gilley and Jimmy Swaggart.
