The Killer, Jerry Lee, performs his 1968 Top Ten hit, "Another Place, Another Time". It led to a series of Top Ten singles including the 1968 number-one country single "To Make Love Sweeter For You" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uJV7YLAyF2c, which brought Lewis renewed music stardom. His shift to country reflected the fact that he had grown up listening to the Grand Ole Opry. Another country hit of Lewis's during this period was "What's Made Milwaukee Famous (Has Made A Loser Out of Me)," http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Berfch7no6s

Lewis was born to the poor family of Elmo and Mamie Lewis in Ferriday in Concordia Parish in eastern Louisiana, and began playing piano in his youth with his two cousins, Mickey Gilley and Jimmy Swaggart.

When it comes near my last ride just prop me up in some sagebrush country roadhouse with old Jerry Lee thumping on the jukebox, a cold beer in my hand, a bit of sun coming in through the window and I will live out my lasty days in peace!

Talent with a capital "T". I've loved him since 1956. The way he sings this country song "sends" me as we used to say. His bio in Wikipedia is incredible. So glad he's still here making music. Love you JLL.

Wow, how did you score the HD version of Hee Haw? I can barely find any of the old shows (and on regular DVD only) and Verizon FIOS shows RFD-TV in lo-def in my area...looks great! Get 'em, Killer ~

A lovely song. Ruined by the hokey country arrangement. This is why every country song sounds the same. Challenge to musicians: adapt this song, put it in a 12-bar blues arrangement. See what happens. Strip it down, get rid of all that country whining in the background. Stick to the meat and potatoes of the song.

It's in my Will that this be played at my funeral when my time comes to leave through that door into the unknown land.Steve Savage "King of the Beasts"Here are the lyrics for those who wish to sing along:One by one they're turning out the lightsI've been feedin' that old jukebox just to hold you tightGuess it's for the best, I just put in my last dimeHeard you whisper "We'll meet again another place, another time"Chairs are stacked all over tables and it's closing time they sayI could wait right here forever if they'd only let me stayAnywhere would be much better than that old lonely room of mineAnd a sleepless night a waitin' for another place, another timeWon't that room of mine be a lonely place to be?After I've been so used to holding you so close to meAnd won't that old stairway be a little hard to climbTo a lonely room to wait for another place, another time?Won't that old stairway be a little hard to climbTo a lonely room to wait for another place, another time?
