JERRY JAYE - Hello Josephine (1967) With the Minute Missing on the Hit Single! video free download

As seen on the hit single (Hi 2120), pictured in the slide show above, it runs just under two minutes. Also, that version is titled "My Girl Josephine" (why we don't know, since those words are not heard anywhere). The original version by Jerry is properly titled "Hello Josephine," and runs a full minute longer! There's even an instrumental opening that's missing from the hit (as well as all other postings of the song). This is the only channel providing the complete recording, with the missing minute ... and it's even in true stereo!

Where are the rest of you King's Inn fans? Let me hear from you, and you too, Jerry and Darlene.

Loveeeeeee Jerry Jaye and Darlene. My husband, Mack McDonald played drums with them in Pascagoula, MS for a few years. Some of the best times of my life!

I come back to listen to this song from time to time. It brings back some great memories of the sixties. I was wondering if anyone, or maybe Jerry's step bro, Stephan Marc Dubois can explain the difference in "My Girl" and the "Hello" Josephine and this talk of a missing minute?

Jerry Jaye is from my hometown; used to work in the cotton fields with my Daddy before he made it in the music world. He was home recently for a concert. A good guy!

Bless your soul. This is the version that they used to play in Detroit and Windsor, Ont a LOT. I started 40 years ago trying to track this version down. I even researched Canadian artists to no avail. YouTube is fantastic for finding stuff. Thanks a million for uploading this version.

I thought all along that my Hi 45 had a skip in it. It didn't occur to me that part of the song was deleted on the record. A killer cover of the Fats song, perfect vocal and great guitar break. I rate it a 9 out of a possible 10 only because it is a cover and not an original song.

Great sound! Wow. I wonder what it is with that record label. Old Fats Domino song. Jerry toured with Booker T & the MGs and Lou Rawls and he replaced the late Bill Black in the Bill Black combo.
