I still get chills every time I hear Samuel Ramey sing Ol Man River.

I always liked Hadley's voice and his singing, a fine lyric tenor Hadley. Saw him in Chicago at lyric opera in the house in L' Elisir, it was then a beautiful voice. Ramey I recall doing a terrific job in Faust, not so long before I saw Hadley. Sam was really great always. Sorry but I never had the chance to see Frederica, she does so well in the recordings I've heard and here. Fine cast and Fine post!

Thanks so much for putting this on TV. I saw it when it was originally on TV in the '90's, I believe. It's one of my very favorite concerts ever. I could listen to and watch it for hours. All are fantastic voices. Frederica von Stade is s-o-o-o-o attractive here!
